11 days until Pittsbirds as I’ve been calling it. I will be showing my ever expanding series entitled ‘birds’ in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday the 20th.
There will be work from 15 different artists on display, work in all sorts of media & available for purchase. Five bucks to get in which includes a free beverage.
The name of the event is ‘Art Bash’, in addition to the artists, there will be music and a pretty solid representation of variety studios and friends heading down. It’s going to be pretty awesome, check it out if you’re in the Pittsburgh area or feel like a destination for a road trip!
I will also have prints available in addition to the canvases and wood paintings!
Craft Chemistry is a neat little gallery up the street in little italy, syracuse. Tonight they will be showing ‘beautiful losers’ at 7pm
check out the teaser:
Lots of stuff going on lately, we’ve been putting together some promo stuff for a band out of Brookline, Mass called ‘Wolves and the Radio’. Above is a bunch of hand out cards that we had some fun painting in accompaniment with the printed illustration I’ve been putting together.
Marcus and I got to meet up with the guys from the wolves as they performed with some of their side project groups, up in Oswego, where the whole venue pulsed, singing along. This illustration will be available soon on t-shirts and stickers.
Also exciting news, there is beginning phases of a new cycling team going into effect with the combined effort of BTB Athletics, Mello Velo Bicycles, Variety Studios, and a handful of other local people who like to ride hard and have fun. Nothing solid yet, but their is some potential! Let us know what you think, or if any of you cyclists are interested!
Hopefully this rain stops soon and it gets nice and cold for some pond hockey!
Last year I was watching some TV and apparently it was shark week; they had documentaries, shows dedicated to learning about sharks, MythBusters even had back to back episodes on different shark myths and we’ve all seen Jaws. There was a Shark Week: 30th Anniversary show,at the end of the week following Mike Rutzen aka Sharkman around while he tries to achieve his goal of putting a great white shark under a hypnotic state called Tonic Immobility, from just a touch of their snout.
Winter is coming fast and I’ve been told plenty of times, I will need to buy winter tires, even before there was a thought of winter and the snow that accumulates up here in Syracuse. Well I think I just found some that I’m interested in getting, but I want some opinions before I do the purchase. So here’s what I’m looking to get…
Fresh food is always the best when you’re starving, and when it’s breakfast time it’s even better because everyone knows breakfast is pretty much the best meal of the day. Mother’s Cupboard is the place to be to satisfy that void in your stomach when you’ve been craving a good breakfast. Make sure you get there early, they close at 1:00pm and are usually packed with people looking to literally roll out the door after their done.
